denim skirt - spring edition

Hi All,

Happy Monday! I don't know about you but I am ready for sunshine, warm weather, and spring wardrobe! Unfortunately, this week has been a bit cold in NYC so while I may want to bring out spring/ summer clothes I have to be practical. Here is one of my ideas to incorporate a spring piece like a denim skirt while it's still cold outside.

I paired up a denim skirt with black tights and a sweater, one way to mix and match pieces from different seasons. As a way to brighten up the outfit, I tied a silk scarf through the belt loops. I love accessorizing with silk scarves, whether it's wearing it around my neck, tying it in my hair or in belt loops. It's an easy way to accessorize any outfit. Looking back, I think for this outfit the sweater was a little too chunky and I recommend going through lighter sweaters so it doesn't bulk up. What spring clothes do you miss wearing and look forward to bringing back out?
