Hi all,
what to do in the morning when leaving for class and it is 40 degrees and then during the day when it is 70 degrees? As obvious as this might sound - layers has been an answer to my struggles of being cold in the morning and hot in the afternoon. With these abnormally warm temperatures for February (at least in Virginia) I have had to bring out my spring clothes a little bit earlier than usually. I am still trying to incorporate boots and booties into my outfits as much as I can because I just feel like we haven't had enough time to wear so many great winter staples.
Here is an example of an outfit that pairs certain winter items with a lighter jacket that I usually wear during spring or fall seasons. I consider all of the items of this outfit as classic pieces. Red lipstick will always be in. Faux leather jacket is a must in everyone's closet as it goes with dresses, skirts (as shown in this case), and pants! It is a jacket that can be worn for a nicer occasion or a casual day out. Black boots are also great as they go with anything. And this black flared skirt is probably one of my favorite pieces in my closet. It looks great with boots, high heels or flats. It is also very flattering.
Hope you enjoyed this combination!
