favorite midi dresses for summer

Hi All,

Happy Monday friends! I hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend!

Today's blog post is all about midi dresses. This is such a fun trend that came back in the last couple of years and has been getting more and more prominent. During the summer, when I am on the go and looking for something simple and breezy to throw on I always gravitate towards dresses. Midi dresses can be tricky because they can look midi on one person and maxi on the other so when shopping for one try to find a fit that hits you around mid-calf (hence the name midi :) ).

If you have tried on midi dresses that made you feel stumpy, I recommend wearing midi dresses with heels that will visually elongate your legs. It doesn't have to be a high heel, even small block heels would work. Avoid anything that looks clunky or heavy.

Here I rounded up some of my favorite midi dresses of different styles...

This first dress is on sale under $50 and comes in a few different colors! I bought it in two colors because I love the fit of it and how comfortable it is. The smocked top makes it look flattering on. I like the ruffles on the straps it add a cute element to the dress.

The next one is a gingham dress! This pattern is a must for a summer wardrobe so I love that this midi dress comes in it.

Up next is a casual midi tee-shirt dress that comes in the tie dye pattern that we have been seeing everywhere and continues to stay hot on the market. The knot on the side of the dress is a great option to adjust the dress depending on your height.

Next is the beautiful pastel dress. If you are looking for a feminine, romantic dresses I highly recommend getting a pastel colored one. Pastels will never go out of style and you can always wear through spring and summer seasons.

The last but not least is the classic, silk, slip dress. This is such a staple for the wardrobe. A variation of a little black dress that is a must in every women's closet. It's truly a timeless piece that can be dressed up and worn for special occasions like weddings, graduations parties, formals... or dressed down with a part of white fashion sneakers and denim jacket or cardigan. Another great part about a dress like this is that it can be worn all-year-round.

Hope you found this helpful! :)
