favorite spring tops

Hi All,

Happy Monday! I hope it's getting a little warmer where you live and you have had a chance to enjoy some sunshine! :)

I wanted to compile some of my favorite tops and blouses for spring this year. Big fan of anything floral, feminine, and with bows or exaggerated, statement sleeves. My recent obsession has been one-shoulder blouses! I think they are so unique. When it's warm out that's the time to wear them otherwise you are one arm feels significantly colder than the other haha! Some major spring trends for this year are polka dots, puff sleeves, pastels, florals (shocker!), highlighter-neon colors, and crochet tops.

You can shop my look by clicking the rotating images below! Everything is linked for your convenience :)

Here are some of my favorite spring tops in no particular order....

I pulled a few of the tops and put together variations of how they can be styled. For example, here I put together two different outfit combination for the simple, white blouse that can be tied in the front. Option 1 is a dressy spring/ summer look paired with sandals that have a wooden heel and a wooden crossbody bag to tie the look together. This beautiful, hi-low skirt is under $90! Option 2 is a more casual look with "mom denim shorts" (under $45!!!) and fashion sneakers. To accessorize this look you can tie a bandana around your neck or through the loops of the shorts for a pop of color! This just shows how versatile this blouse is and everyone should have it in their wardrobe!

In this set of blouses, I chose this beautiful yellow, asymmetric top to show two different ways of how it can be worn. Option 1, shows a combination of a feminine top paired with a leather mini skirt (under $30!!!) and booties for an edgy ensemble. Option 2 on the other hand, shows how a pair of casual jeans is put together with this statement top for a dressy outfit option. In this case, the blouse is a statement piece of the outfit and also accessorizes the outfit. Here you can stick to simple, dainty jewelry, however if you are feeling bold maybe put a pair of yellow statement earrings to go with the outfit! Fashion is all about expressing yourself so go with what shows of your style and personality! :)

Out of this set of tops, I chose to style the lilac, smocked top. Any of the smocked or cropped tops featured here can be styled in similar ways. Option 1 has it paired with white overalls. Such tops would also look great with shortalls. For more ideas on how to style overalls check out this blog post. Option 2 features this top with a midi skirt. This kind of top would look great with any high-waisted bottoms. And once I again, I styled this outfit with the Dolce Vita sandals that have been featured a few times now on the blog. This just shows how versatile these shoes are and would be perfect with many outfits this spring and summer seasons :)

From this selection of spring tops, I chose the baby blue top with a bow! But you can easily interchange the pink bow top into these outfits as well. Option 1 shows a dressy option with a peplum, midi skirt. Since the top is cropped and ends on the waist line, it's better to be paired up with a high-waisted skirt. Option 2 shows a casual look with white jeans and Veja sneakers! Similarly to the casual option with the yellow statement blouse pictured earlier, in this case the blouse itself / the bow on the blouse serves as an accessory which means you don't need to worry about accessorizing the outfit and adding some sort of pizzazz to it.

Here I selected a light, lace top and styled it two ways. Option 1 shows how it can be worn as a layer under a jean dress. Option 2 has this top that can be tucked into the white, denim skirt, paired with sandals and accessorized with a white headband to complete this look. Not a fan of denim skirts? You can achieve a similar look with a pair of white denim shorts.

Out of the last set of spring tops, I chose this hot pink tank top. Option 1 has the tank paired with cozy joggers. This is an example of how joggers can be worn for a dressier look. Satin fabric of the top and a pair of heels elevates the look. Option 2 is a more glamorous look. I guess I have been feeling nostalgic about dressing up again while being in quarantine. This can be a cute look for a spring or summer wedding!

Thank you for reading!! <3
